Wire runs
Know how much wire to pull before you pull it
Build a run from segments measured with the camera, traced on the plan or typed in. Fishtape adds drops, box and panel makeup and waste, then tells you which coils to buy.

What it does
- AR tape measurePoint the phone at the wall and tap at each end and each bend. On iPhone and iPad this uses ARKit in the Fishtape app; LiDAR models do better on plain walls.
- Trace on a planTap along the route on a drawing and the length comes from the drawing scale. Straight mode snaps each leg square.
- Allowances built inDrops, box makeup (2 x 150 mm per box by default), panel makeup and waste per run, all changeable.
- Rolls and the estimateNMD90 in 75, 150 and 300 m coils with the least left over. Add the wire to a draft estimate in one tap, or export a PDF or CSV.
How it works on site
- Create a run on the job: "Kitchen feed", cable or conduit, and the conductors in it.
- Add segments with the AR tape, by tracing the plan or by typing 25' 6" or 7.6 m.
- Check the allowances: drops, boxes, panel makeup and waste.
- Add it to the estimate, or print the PDF for the crew pulling it.
Which plan includes it
Every plan has no caps on invoices, estimates, jobs, clients or drawings. Plans differ by features and included users.

Good to know. Measuring by moving the phone along the wall is not offered on purpose: phone motion sensors drift and are wrong within seconds. AR measuring needs the Fishtape app on iPhone or iPad (App Store listing coming) or a browser with WebXR AR on Android.
